MCAS Dates

The fourth grade MCAS dates are Tuesday, March 18 for the Composition/ELA portion of the fourth grade assessment. Thursday, March 20  and Tuesday, March 25, students will have one session of testing each day of the Reading/ELA portion of the MCAS.

Fifth Grade ELA MCAS dates are Friday, March 21 and Thursday, March 21.

Please be sure your child comes to school on time, as each sessions begins at approximately 8:50 a.m..

It is especially important that children get a full night’s sleep the night before and a hearty breakfast the morning of the test, either at home, or here at school. Please send your child with a few extra snacks on these test days to provide extra fuel during long test sessions. (NO BREAKS are allowed during a test session, regardless of how long it takes.)

As overwhelming and grueling as the test appears, the students have been working hard and preparing for these tests. Encouragement and a positive attitude will help them perform well and with a little less anxiety.
